Description
I make these unique dangle earrings from recycled copper pennies and powdered glass. I run old copper pennies through my rolling mill in order to obtain the shape and thickness I want, then I drill the holes for the ear wires. I apply several coats of powdered glass (vitreous enamel) and fire each coat at 1450 degrees multiple times. I scratch through the final layer of enamel before firing to create the design. After the final firing I file the edges smooth and then attach handmade hypoallergenic copper wires and beads.
